With Nailsea at home, Bath fielded a strong team and the games were quite tight.
The matches were played under Association Croquet rules, and by lunchtime Nailsea were 2-1 up.
The afternoon play, with the sun then shining, saw Nailsea take another two fantastic wins.
Overall, with a notable win by Doreen Wallace (16-8), and with some closely fought games, Nailsea took an overall 4-3 victory.
Nailsea captain Libby Howard-Blood was said to be delighted as the victory gave her team a strong start to the season in their league.
