Clevedon CC sadly did not have a great day in WEPL’s Prem 2 Bristol & North Somerset after they were beaten by five wickets against Bishopston CC at Dial Hill last Saturday.

Clevedon decided to bat first and reached 220 all out with captain Cam Harding top scoring with 61 off 52 balls. 

There were other notable contributions from birthday boy Jacob Ward, with 34 off 42 balls, Iraq Thomas 25, Nick Carpenter-Brooks 19, Jack Davey 18, Tyler Leaman 18 and Jack Banks 13 not out.

In reply Bishopston reached their target with 16 balls left to finish on 223-5, with Dominic Hooper top scorer with 82 not out from 97 balls.

Mark Bibbing took 1-39, Tyler Leaman 1-18, Iraq Thomas 1-38 and Matty Carpenter with 1-45 as Clevedon were beaten for the second time this season.

Next Saturday Clevedon travel to Downend.

Clevedon Second XI lost by 10 wickets to Timsbury and the thirds lost by 170 runs to Nailsea.
