Clevedon CC returned to winning ways in WEPL Prem 2 Bristol and Somerset at Keynsham last Saturday.

Having lost to Weston by 42 runs last time out for their first defeat of the season, Clevedon travelled to Keynsham, who chose to bat first after winning the toss, looking to redeem themselves and made a good start to have the hosts on 57-3.

However, Keynsham recovered to finish on 247-7 with Iraq Thomas taking 4-48 and Mark Bibbing 2-25.

In reply Clevedon lost two early wickets, but Clevedon captain Cam Harding and Tyler Leaman put on 120 for third wicket.

Cam Harding was out for 89 off 74 balls with 15 fours and one six.

Tyler Leaman carried on despite suffering from cramp, to reach his half century off 107 balls before he finished with 58.

There were other contributions from Thomas (16) and Jacob Ward (10).

Clevedon then lost a couple of quick wickets and it became a tense finish in the end and it was left to Jack Davey, who finished on 17 not out, to help the visitors win by two wickets for their fourth win of the season and move up to second.
