A local bowls club in Clevedon are holding their Annual Open Day on Sunday May 28, between 10am and 4pm, on Big Bowls Weekend.
Clevedon Promenade Bowling Club welcomes anyone looking for a gentle and social sport and outdoor exercise, as the club celebrate their 90th anniversary this year.
Big Bowls Weekend is aimed at getting more people playing the sport.
Equipment will be provided, including shoes, although if you have your own flat-soled shoes then these can be worn.
During the playing season there is a full programme of bowls matches to suit all levels of play.
Membership ranges from 75 male and 45 female members and pride themselves on being a friendly club, with all new members welcome regardless of ability.
The club holds regular free training sessions run by qualified coaches, to offer help and advice on a Saturday morning and Tuesday evenings.
There are club fun days, and an evening league. Friendly matches for men and ladies plus mixed matches are arranged.
