A North Somerset Tennis Academy player competed in his first under-eights Avon County tournament at David Lloyd Bristol in Westbury last weekend.
The event showcases some of the best players locally from under-eights to under-18s and Jesse was the only player from Weston and North Somerset to take part in the round-robin event.
Jesse has been competing in junior tournaments since October last year and has been traveling around the South West of England and in Wales.
He has been training hard all winter at the seafront tennis courts and will be competing with his teammates in the upcoming National Junior tennis league at Clevedon Seafront tennis courts next Saturday.
"North Somerset Tennis Academy is so proud of Jesse," head coach Stuart Bannerman said.
"We are also proud as a club of Jesse's achievements to date, it's fantastic to see him progress. As your coach I am in awe of your skill and commitment. Awesome! Watching a player develop is inspirational."
