A local bowls club in North Somerset have presented a cheque of just under £2,000 to the Memory Cafe.
Portishead Royal British Legion Bowls Club Mens and Ladies captains Barry Excell and Joy Kelly presented a cheque of £1,879 to leaders Brian Knox-Little and Jacqui Howard-Brown.
The money has been raised by club members and won in a variety of bowling leagues and competitions.
The Memory Cafe gives the opportunity for those suffering from Dementia or memory loss, and their carers or partners to meet together in a relaxed, friendly environment where having fun is the order of the day.
Meetings are held twice monthly, first and third Tuesday of each month starting at 2:15pm, at The Jubilee Hall, Slade Road, Portishead.
