Judy Orme, a member of Portishead Running Club, ran the New York Marathon on Sunday 6th November and finished in 4 hours and 2 minutes.

This also completed the full set of Abbott World Marathon Majors. Her quest began in Berlin in 2016 and then continued with Boston in 2018, Tokyo and Chicago in 2019, London in 2021 and finally after 2 years' delay due to Covid travel restrictions, New York in 2022.

Last year’s London Marathon was her fastest yet in a time of 3:44 which meant she was 2nd in her age group (65-69 years) for the World Age Group Championships and first in her age group in the UK.

Judy was presented with the stunning World Marathon Majors medal in Central Park in New York by Joan Benoit, the first women’s Olympic Marathon Champion in 1984.
