With the new season underway, exciting things are happening for a Portishead based hockey club.
During the summer months, a merger was agreed with Somerset Gryphons, from Clevedon, and North Somerset.
The result of this is a ladies section with three teams across various leagues in the West of England, two men’s teams and an ever growing junior section with huge amounts of talent and potential, all playing in an inclusive and friendly environment.
"The merger has taken things to a new level and the future is looking bright for North Somerset Hockey Club," said Ladies captain Claire Hooper
Chairman Pete Mansell added: "it is great to see the positivity in the club that the merger has brought about. We also have exciting news about a new shirt sponsor thanks to the generosity of Portishead based Aspect Insurance Management."
