Portishead's Harvey Lathrope is waiting to hear if he has won the Rich Energy British Mini PitBike Spares 160cc tile after a fantastic display in round seven at Whilton Mill recently.

A superb practice on Saturday saw the North Somerset driver secure first position in the 160cc, second in 140cc and fourth in 190cc.

In the first 160cc race Lathrope moved into first on the second corner, a position he held on to over the next 12 laps to take the chequered flag.

Lathrope started the second race in first and was pushed all the way by Michael Medd but the teenage sensation drove well to finish ahead of all the other bikers.

In the third and final race Lathrope claimed the lead, a position he held all the way to take home another victory.

The first 140cc race saw Lathrope got off to a good start to take the lead into the first corner and he worked hard to take the win.

In the second Lathrope get off to another good start and took the lead, a position he held to the finish with teammate Ben Lord alongside him, who started in 21st to finish in second.

In race three and with Lord stuck on his tail all the way from the first lap to the last, Lathrope stayed in front to the chequered flag.

In the first190cc race Lathrope came across a tough first couple of corners to move down to eighth until there was a red flag and a restart.

This time Lathrope got a better start and moved up to third and despite losing a place, he managed to take a superb fourth.

In the second race, Lathrope lost a place at the end of the first lap and stayed in fifth until the penultimate lap when he lost another two places to finish in seventh.

In race three Lathrope moved from seventh to fifth on the first corner but lost a place on lap three to sixth, a place he would stay until the end.

With a 314-point advantage in the 160cc championship, and with only a possible 180 points up for grabs, Lathrope is waiting for confirmation to see if he has won the title.
