Clevedon AC enjoyed another successful day at the Cleeve 5k relays with 25 members taking part.

The event, which is also part of the Avon Championships, had 26 club teams and four parkrun teams competing.

The route is an undulating loop that starts at Cleeve CC and heads out along country lanes before turning back into Cleeve via Claverham village.

Sam Tabberner (15.30) ran the fastest leg of the day and Steve Wood, Jo Gallagher and Fran Rawlings picked up age group prizes for the fastest legs for the over-50s, over-45s and over-35s respectively.

There was also success for other teams across the board.

The over-35s team of Natalie Southernwood, Debbie Powell, Rawlings were the first to cross the line.

And the senior team of Robbie Stewart, Tabberner, Jack Richardson and Jonah Murray finished in third.

The veterans team of Wood, Ben Burns, Matt Evans and Matt Crocker finished in second.

And the senior team of Gallagher, Beth Bryant and Polly Atherton came home in a wonderful third place.

This helped the men and women pick up bronze in the Avon County Championships, while new member Charlie Hurcum also represented the club for the first time.
