Clevedon make it four from four with hard earned win at Old Bristolians

Clevedon Ladies made it four wins from win with a 2-1 victory at Old Bristolians thirds last Saturday.

Clevedon's Lucy Pratt on the right-wing gave the home defenders all sort of problems, crossing for the onrushing Helen LeFever to narrowly put her shot wide.

Christina Becker in the Clevedon goal made some smart saves to deny the home forwards.

Anna Barzotelli mesmerising ball control and jinking runs saw the home defence unable to stop her and she set up numerous Clevedon attacks.

Late in the half Pratt was put through, she drew the goalkeeper before cleverly guided the ball into the goal to give the visitors a 1-0 interval lead.

After the break Clevedon poured forward boosted by assured defending from Lauren Bird and the hard working Ellen Armstrong.

The hosts grabbed an equaliser with from a rebound off the post.

Clevedon scored the winner after some quick thinking from Armstrong pouncing on a loose ball to claim the win.

Clevedon Ladies return to action on October 30 against Bristol University.
