Clevedon United Girls under-16s moved up to third in the table with an impressive win against Wembdon last weekend.
The high flying teenagers took an early lead when a cross from Maisy fell in to Heidi’s path, and she slotted the ball into the net for the contest's opening goal.
Ten minutes later they found themselves in the same position and once again Heidi was able to score for both her and United's second.
Wembdon almost immediately hit back from some great play and great shot into the bottom left hand corner of the Clevedon goal only to find goalkeeper Maggie’s outstretched hand meet the ball to send it wide.
Clevedon went on to score more goals from Maisy, Heidi, Abi and Mia before Wembdon managed to find the back of the net for a consolation.
Clevedon team: Maggie, Jade, Evie, Eleni, Poppy, Chloe, Holly, Mitu, Abi, Blythe, Maisy, Mia, Heidi, Jess
