Audiences will feel like they have travelled back in time with the latest production at Clevedon’s Theatre Shop.

Passionate Machine follows the life of Dr Rosy Carrick as she embarks on a journey through time.

Rosy has to build a time machine because her future self has already done so and is now stuck 100 years in the past.

She attempts to re-write history and save herself through a complex and original blend of science.

Darting playfully between multiple narratives, the production's innovative structure and excellent use of multimedia to emphasise the story and its thought-provoking themes.

Rosy's intelligent and emotional performance uses the vehicle of time travel to candidly explore the many ways to relate to a past and future selves.

On her journey, Rosy is faced with one, difficult question: What would you change if you could travel through time?

Taking in quantum physics, David Bowie, motherhood, #MeToo and some most heinous hangovers along the way, fact and fiction blur to create a surreal, original and searingly honest story.

The show is winner of the Best New Play at Brighton Fringe 2018 and The Infallibles Award for Theatrical Excellence at Edinburgh Fringe.

Passionate Machine will be staged at the Theatre Shop, in Queens Square, at 7.30pm on May 30.

Tickets, priced £12, are available from the box office on 03336 663366 or online at
