Youth clubs are helping to clear up their communities by picking up litter in Clevedon and Nailsea.

Junior youth clubs at The Barn in Clevedon and Area 6t5 in Nailsea spent 10 minutes of their own time clearing up the area around the buildings.

The youngsters were supported by The Barn's youth volunteers, Millie Dixon Richards and Sami Gazzane.

Staff talked about the environment and the impact litter has on communities and wildlife.

Youngsters were given a jam doughnut as a reward for the three bags of rubbish they collected from the towns.

Junior youth sessions are aimed at children aged eight to 11 and The Barn's sessions run on Thursdays from 4.45-6.30pm, in Great Western Road.

Area 6t5 junior youth sessions run on Mondays and Thursdays from 3.30-5.30pm at Number 65 High Street in Nailsea.
