YOUNG people from Nailsea competed in woodland challenges as part of a day of outdoor pursuits.

Those living at the supported housing facility in Watery Lane, Tudor House, along with staff members, took part in their own take on a popular TV programme entitled, I’m a Supported Housing Tenant, Get Me Out Of Here.

Based in a woodland near Hutton, the group of 16-25-year-olds took on challenges including fire lighting, shelter building, foraging for food and other survival techniques, run by Osprey Outdoors, a not-for-profit community interest company that works with people who would not normally have the chance to enjoy the outdoors and the countryside.

The group from the Elim Tudor House Young Person’s Project spent the day with Osprey founder, Wendy Watkins, taking part in team building activities to boost their confidence and skills.
