Young musicians’ cash for Philippines

PUBLISHED: 17:00 26 November 2013

NAILSEA Folk Club’s youth band braved the cold weather to play jigs for shoppers in the town to raise money for the Philippines appeal.

Shoppers donated £389 towards the cause and organiser David Francis would like to thank people for their generosity as well as the five young performers.

The funds were topped up to £400 and have been given to the Disaster Emergency Committee to support people affected by typhoon Haiyan.
