Two Yatton sisters have raised money for a children’s cancer charity by having their hair cut.

Kerensa and Lowena Curnow, aged six and nine respectively, had grown their hair for three years in preparation for the charitable chop.

The pair were sponsored by friends and family and raised more than £100 for Little Princess Trust – an organisation which provides young cancer sufferers with wigs during their treatment.

Mum Ellie praised her two daughters for showing such a great charitable attitude.

She said: “We are so proud of the girls.

“They loved their long hair and it was a big decision for them to have it all cut off for charity.

“Also thanks to our friends and family for their generosity in donating to this worthy cause.”

Kerensa and Lowena’s hair was cut by Katie Lucas of Top Knots and Wot Not in Yatton, and she donated the fee to the charity.
