A Wraxall zoo will showcase the important role it plays in supporting conservation this week.

As part of The British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) love your zoo week, Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, in Clevedon Road, will promote its work surrounding conservation, education and research.

During the half-term break, a love heart trail around the zoo’s grounds will take place as well as a colouring competition with the chance to win a popular zoo keeper’s experiences.

Visitors will also be able to watch bear and siamang feeds as well as hear talks on giant tortoise, zebras, giraffes and rhinos.

The zoo’s head curator, Chris Wilkinson, said: “The BIAZA campaign is important to help visitors understand we have a dedicated group of keepers who put conservation at the forefront of everything they do.”

Events will run daily until 5pm on Saturday.
