A National Trust site will feature on a TV programme tonight (Wednesday) highlighting its beauty.
Wraxall’s Tyntesfield house will be the centre of attention in Secrets Of The National Trust, hosted by Alan Titchmarsh.
Alan takes a behind-the-scenes look at some of Britain’s most intriguing historic homes and gardens and visits a different property each week to unlock its secrets.
At Tyntesfield, Alan learns about the rise of William Gibbs, who became the richest non-aristocrat in 19th-century Britain through the trade of guano, while chef Tony Singh and presenter Miriam O’Reilly explore beyond the Victorian Gothic house to discover the estate’s gardens.
Volunteers at the grade-II listed building have completed two restoration projects in recent months, costing around £250,000.
The show airs at 9pm tonight on Channel 5.
