Until January 2 next year, visitors to Wraxall’s Tyntesfield estate will be able to experience the festive life of its Victorian owners, the Gibbs family, and their workers.

This year is the first time all of the costumes worn have been handmade onsite by a team of volunteers.

The estate will also be open at night as visitors will be able to pick up presents in the Cow Barn shop, while outdoor workshops will take place in Home Farm.

Pauline Tillett, volunteer costumier at Tyntesfield, said the venue is looking forward to welcoming lots of visitors through the door over the next few weeks.

She said: “We have been working hard since our first sewing session back in the summer and we’re excited to welcome visitors in the coming months.”
