Volunteers are being encouraged to take part in a litter pick in Wraxall tomorrow (Wednesday).

As Wraxall Hill will be closed from Wednesday for 10 days, there is an opportunity to carry out a litter pick.

It comes after a number of villagers complained to the parish council about its condition.

Broadband provider Gigaclear will install a full-fibre network in the parish and so the litter pick must take place prior to the work commencing.

Therefore, the only opportunity is at 8am, with volunteers meeting in the church car park in Bristol Road at 7.45am for a briefing.

Gigaclear will site a person at the top of the hill and another at the bottom following the closure to ensure no vehicles are allowed to access the hill.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear a fluorescent jacket and bring gardening gloves, while collection bags will be provided.
