WITNESSES are being sought to a fatal road accident in Clevedon on Friday.
The incident happened at 3.25pm in Northern Way and a 63-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
A police statement said: “Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Clevedon in which a woman died after being hit by a car.
“It happened at around 3.25pm on Friday, February 18, as the 63-year-old was walking along Northern Way.”
The driver of the car involved, a Vauxhall Zafira, was not hurt.
For more than three hours on Friday evening, Northern Way remained closed while accident investigators analysed the scene.
Fire, police and ambulance crews attended the incident as did the air ambulance.
