THE wildlife at a Portishead nature reserve was enjoyed by visitors during a public event on Monday.

A Springwatch Fair was held at Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve with adults and children given the chance to get their hands dirty taking part in activities including pond dipping and wildlife art.

The event also included nature walks around the reserve and a spot of birdwatching under the guidance of Avon Wildlife Trust wardens.
