The Welsh Risca Male Voice Choir will be performing in Nailsea this weekend to mark a sports club’s 50th anniversary.

The talented group is singing at the Mizzymead Recreation Centre, in Mizzymead Rise, on Saturday at 7pm to celebrate 50 years of Nailsea Bowls Club.

The choir was founded in 1970 and the group's repertoire includes both traditional and classical material, operatic and musical theatre items.

Nailsea Bowls Club has held a number of bowls matches this year to mark its golden anniversary and members are looking forward to welcoming the choir for a musical celebration.

The bowls club is also running free taster coaching sessions for new bowlers on Wednesdays from 4-6pm.

People can try out the sport for free, under the guidance of expert tuition.

Tickets, priced £7, are available to buy from the bar at the recreation centre.
