Wellies raise charity cash

WELLY-WEARING fund-raisers took part in a sponsored walk along Clevedon’s seafront to raise money for a children’s charity.

Organised by The Clevedon Friends Group of Children’s Hospice South West, about 30 people of all ages donned their wellies for the event on Friday, which resulted in about 120 being raised.

Those taking part were joined by supporters at The Moon and Sixpence pub for a coffee and cake.

Group chairman De Colle said: “We would like to thank Tony and the staff at The Moon and Sixpence for their hospitality.”
