Massage taster sessions, a cake sale and creative writing recitals were enjoyed by visitors at a Clevedon charity.

To mark World Mental Health Day, 1in4 People held an open day at its offices in Old Street to showcase the services they provide to help people with mental illness to take control of their condition and their lives.

Keen cooks took part in a great wellbeing bake-off and there was also an art show on display.

Volunteers talked about their work while people could also listen to a counselling talk and mindfulness taster sessions.

The charity empowers people with mental health issues to tackle the challenges they face and to move forward with their lives.

The services offered include advice and information, advocacy, creative therapies including writing and art, cognitive therapy, complimentary health treatments, counselling, motivational programmes, outdoor activities and self-help and support groups.
