Volunteers from Sustainable Backwell produced more than 400 bottles of apple juice at their apple pressing event.
It is the second year the green group has put on the event and more than 70 people packed into Anne and Robin Richards’ garden to find out how the process works.
Chris said: “I was delighted so many people from the local community came along, bringing apples and wine bottles to recycle. It was amazing that over 400 bottles of apple juice were produced.
“This really shows what can happen when members of the community work together. We had people of all ages, some coming both days, who had the opportunity to be actively involved in all stages of the production.”
