PORTISHEAD in Bloom volunteers are appealing for help to make some new flags for the town.
Each year, ahead of the judging of the South West in Bloom competition, volunteers put the flags up throughout the High Street. They remain on display until after the town’s annual carnival and flower show.
Vice chairman of the Portishead group, Ian Murphy, said: “The flags always need attention when we take them down but some are now beyond repair. We are desperate to find someone who can make some new ones for us in time for next year’s display.”
