Volunteers got stuck into some maintenance jobs in Backwell at the weekend.
The Backwell Playing Fields Charity needed people to carry out some painting and gardening.
A number of people turned up to get through the long list of jobs, which included repainting a swing set, vintage rocking horse and see-saw.
They also cut the large hedges back.
A charity spokesman said: “We were delighted to be able to tackle such a wide range of jobs and this was only possible because of the number of people who gave up their time to support the playing fields.”
The playing fields were donated to the people of Backwell by Theodore Robinson in 1929, with the express instruction they should be used for recreation.
The charity maintains and protects the land, which includes green spaces, two children’s play parks, a skate ramp, zip-wire and bike track.
