Backwell Future Steering Group would like to thank everyone who responded to the Draft Backwell Neighbourhood Plan, both at the Open Days in November, and throughout the consultation period up to 12 January.
As well as input from individual residents we received valuable and detailed submissions from North Somerset Council, Backwell Residents Association, Backwell Environmental Trust, Sustainable Backwell and Backwell Sustainable Transport Action Group. There has been focus on many different aspects of the Draft Plan, but all groups share a determination to secure the best possible future for Backwell.
The Backwell Future Steering Group is now considering all the ideas put forward and the extent to which the Draft Plan might be amended. It will not be possible to respond directly to every point made by hundreds of individuals, but changes will reflect concerns and suggestions made, and will be publicised when the revised Draft goes forward to North Somerset Council and the Final Plan is ready for the Independent Examiner.
After approval, the Backwell Neighbourhood Plan will be presented to the residents of Backwell in a Referendum.
