Villagers’ first community market

A NEW community market has taken off in Pill, with villagers keen to sample the items on offer.

Held for the first time at the community centre on May 26, the event has been organised to encourage people to buy locally-produced items and support local enterprise.

Featuring floristry, crafts, Fairtrade food and gifts, baby goods, cakes, fruit and vegetables, the next community market will be held at the centre in Church Place from 10am to noon on June 30. From September onwards, it will take place on the second Saturday of every month.
