VILLAGERS in Backwell will be heading to the ballot boxes next Thursday (February 26) to vote on their neighbourhood plan.

Over the past four years Backwell Parish Council, its steering group and the residents’ association have worked to produce Backwell Future which sets out the community’s aspirations for the village up to 2026.

If residents support the plan at the referendum it will become the basis for planning decisions and protect the village from large-scale development.

Voting is taking place at Backwell Parish Hall, Station Road, and Felton Village Hall, West Lane, from 7am-10pm.
