RESIDENTS in Pill and Easton-in-Gordano will meet on Monday to discuss the challenges of climate change and globalisation.

Sustainable Pill and District (SPAD) is made up of people concerned about ensuring the village and surrounding area have a sustainable future.

A public meeting will be held at Pill Community Centre in Church Place at 7.30pm on Monday for a discussion of issues.

This will be followed by the screening of the film, The Age of Stupid, which highlights the need for governments and local authorities to encourage people, businesses and organisations to reduce their emissions of carbon dioxide.

For more details about SPAD call Jill Coleman on 01275 375688.
