SUPPORTERS of Clevedon’s Curzon cinema are being encouraged to cast their vote and help the community facility win a National Lottery Award.

The awards are held to recognise the positive impact lottery-funded projects make to local communities and in August it was announced the Curzon had reached the final of the Best Heritage Project category.

Now, it is hoped supporters will vote for the cinema in the hope it can win the award and an extra 2,000 toward its work.

The Curzon Community Cinema received 321,900 from the Heritage Lottery Fund to help pay for its renovation and is one of just three in its category.

The award results will be announced during a star-studded awards ceremony, which will be broadcast on BBC One later in the year.

The film about the Curzon, which can be viewed on this page, will be screened on BBC One’s National Lottery Draw Show prior to the award ceremony.

Votes must be cast by October 28 by calling 0844 836 9712 or by visiting www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards
