A NAILSEA design engineer who plans to cycle 5,000 miles across the USA for disaster relief charity ShelterBox next month will pedal for the equivalent of a an American working day on Saturday to help him on his way.
Richard Boxhall, of Newton Green, will be collecting for the trip outside Waitrose in the town centre, from 10am-4pm while riding a static trainer.
He intends to leave Neah Bay, in Washington State, on August 7, riding solo and unsupported for 90 days, finishing in Miami Beach, in Florida in October.
