FIREFIGHTERS were called twice to tackle grass and shrubbery fires in Clevedon Court Woods in one night.

Avon Fire and Rescue service arrived to deal with the fires, both thought to be deliberate, at 5.48pm and 6.49pm on June 2.

Using a water back-pack, the first fire was extinguished quickly, but the second fire needed hose reels and took more than two hours to tackle.

The grassland is often used in the summer months by teenagers for skate and bike ramps.

An Avon Fire Rescue called on anybody with information about the fires to contact police on 0845 4567000.
