Travelling back in time

PEOPLE visiting Portishead Lake Grounds were transported back in time when the seafront played host to a number of wartime vehicles.

The Western Invicta Military Preservation Society displayed part of its collection of 1940s military vehicles on the Esplanade as part of Portishead’s festival week. The group meets monthly in Clevedon and organises events and rallies throughout the South West, with the aim to keep history alive by preserving the military artefacts and displaying them to the public.
