North Somerset could be at risk of flooding tonight (Friday) after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning predicting ‘exceptionally’ torrential rain.

The rain and strong winds could result in difficult travel conditions as many drivers take to the roads ahead of the school holidays.

This warning – which has been issued across the South West – also says the county is at risk of flash flooding.

The Met Office has also warned it could result in flash flooding and the gales could knock trees down across the North Somerset area.
