Backwell Toddler Group held a summer party at the last meeting before the holidays.

The activities were moved into the parish hall due to the weather, but the rain failed to dampen the party spirit.

About 70 families attend the group and this year members raised £600 at a pamper evening which will be split between two local parenting charities and Backwell Association of Breastfeeding Mothers.

The group has also organised a number of social events for parents in Backwell including a curry night.

Sessions start back in September on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the parish hall, Station Road, from 10-11.30am.
