Flowers, fruits and wildlife will be on display in gardens across a North Somerset village this summer.

Tickenham will host its first open gardens day on June 23.

Entry, priced £1-3.50 for the day, will be available at all of the participating gardens, and includes a map showing the location of each garden.

Any profits will be shared among selected charities.

John Banks, chairman of the open gardens committee, said: “We are all very excited about this new venture for Tickenham.

“There are some wonderful gardens in the village and visitors can expect a real treat.”
