Green-fingered villagers will showcase the fruits of their labour this weekend.

The 72nd Tickenham Flower Show will be held tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon from 12.30-4.30pm at the village hall and field, in Clevedon Road.

The show tent will stock a hog roast, beer, Pimm's, and WI members will serve teas and cakes.

Entertainment will be provided by the Nailsea Rock Choir and Portishead Concert Band, while craft stalls will take place in both the hall and field.

Children's activities include a rollercoaster and science tent, while young growers classes will also take place.

Entry is £3.50, with accompanied children, and also patrons, free of charge.

A free park and ride bus service will run from Tickenham Golf Club, also in Clevedon Road, with the last bus leaving the hall at 5pm after an auction of produce.
