Two major road resurfacing schemes costing more than £150,000 will start this week.
A £94,000 scheme to resurface the A369 Rownham Hill in Abbots Leigh, from its boundary with Bristol to the junction with Bridge Road, will begin on Monday.
The work will be carried out on three consecutive nights with the road closed between 8pm and 6am and diversion routes in place.
Road resurfacing will also be carried out on Tickenham Hill and Clevedon Road from December 6.
These two road will be closed between 8pm and 6am for two nights, re-opened for the weekend and then closed on December 10 and 11.
The aim of the £75,000 scheme, which will also include new signs and replacement gullies, is to improve the condition of the road and lay anti-skid material on Tickenham Hill to help with accident prevention.
Cllr Elfan Ap Rees, North Somerset Council’s executive member for highways and transport, said: “Investment in roads continues to be high on our agenda and we remain committed to maintaining and improving roads across North Somerset.
“We would urge people to be patient while these essential works are carried out.”
