PUBLISHED: 09:43 05 February 2015

A MAN has come to the rescue of three people trapped inside their home during a fire in the early hours of this morning (Thursday).

A six-month-old baby, three-year-old child and their mother were trapped inside their home in Bramley Close, Pill, before a neighbour helped them to safety via an upstairs window.

The fire, which is thought to have started accidentally in the kitchen, was tackled by six firefighters using two 45mm jets and a ventilation fan to clear the smoke.

The fire crews also conducted a thorough search of the property to ensure that all persons were safe and accounted for.
