A TREE of Light in Clevedon raised more than 1,000 for charity.
The tree was put up in the foyer of Clevedon Baptist Church by The Rotary Club of Clevedon and members of the public made a donation in return for a star being placed on the tree in memory of a lost loved one.
The proceeds will be divided between MacMillan Cancer Care and Cancer Research UK with the remainder going to rotary charities.
Members of the club also collected more than 700 in the run-up to Christmas by holding collections outside of the town’s supermarkets, Morrisons and Tesco.
As a result of the two fund-raising drives, almost 2,000 was collected in total.
