DRAMATIC maritime displays are expected to be watched by thousands during Clevedon Pier’s lifeboat day.
To be held on July 15 from 11am-5.30pm, the event will include a hovercraft display, a visit from The Matthew ship and, subject to availability, an air sea rescue demonstration.
Proceeds from the event will be split between funding the pier’s new visitor centre and the Portishead and Bristol Lifeboat Trust.
As well as activities on the water, there will be live music and numerous stalls.
Last year’s lifeboat day attracted more than 3,500 visitors to Clevedon’s pier and it is hoped this year’s will be even more successful.
Admission is 2 for adults, 1 for children or 5 for a family of two adults and two children under 14. For more details call the pier on 01275 878846 or visit www.clevedonpier.com
To book a stall pitch, priced 20, call Pauline Norton on 01934 822265 or 07415 836674.
