A children’s charity has renovated its bathrooms thanks to a grant from Thomas Cook.

Springboard Opportunity Group, a charity working with children up to the age of five, was handed the cash from the Thomas Cook Children’s Charity Community grant.

The bathroom was given a makeover by volunteers from the Men’s Shed, in Clevedon.

Clevedon playroom manager, Becca Young, said: “We would like to thank Thomas Cook for its generous grant.

“The nappy changing facilities were no longer workable as the children were growing taller and getting heavier.

“In order to accommodate the use of a hydraulic paediatric changing table, the bathroom needed a complete renovation to allow access for special needs chairs.

“Moving our existing children’s toilets also ensures independence for those who are able to use them or learn how to use them.”
