MEDICAL equipment was stolen from Clevedon paramedics by thieves who broke into their home.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and information following the burglary in the early hours of December 27.

The culprits managed to get into a house in Irving Close before taking a number of personal items including a laptop, paper work and the keys for a car parked outside.

The black Honda Civic type R car was stolen and later recovered in Poets Close in Bristol.

It contained some of the victims’ emergency paramedic kit including a large black holdall containing helmets, high visibility jackets and basic first aid equipment.

An orange pack and a black pack containing such items as a blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, electronic thermometer, heart rate monitor and paperwork were stolen.

A large blue Nike holdall containing a taekwondo kit with a red and yellow Clevedon club badge on the end was also taken.

Detective constable Steve Webb said: “The victims are understandably upset that not only vital life saving equipment has been taken by mindless individuals but also personal paperwork that cannot be easily replaced or duplicated.

“I would appeal to anyone who has any information about this incident or who may have found any discarded paperwork to contact us.”

Anyone with information should call Weston police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
