Valuable personal items in gym lockers have been stolen by thieves in North Somerset.

Police say criminals stole a Rolex watch and Samsung earphones from a tennis centre.

Thieves made away with a sports and toilet bag containing the items from the club in Ashton, and Avon and Somerset Constabulary has since launched an appeal to help locate the items.

The incident took place on September 2, and a number of bags were also taken from a gym in Patchway in August and four from a centre in Yeovil in July.

Police are encouraging people who use lockers at gyms to be vigilant of anyone watching them using the storage containers in the district.

The force also advises people not to keep valuables unattended.

Police want to speak to two men in connection with their investigation.

People who recognise the men in the picture are being asked to call 101 and quote reference number 5219193623.
