A yellow weather warning is in place across North Somerset with winds expected to reach 65-75mph along the coast.
The Met Office warning is in place from 8am until 7pm today (Thursday) and people are being warned to expect delays to road, rail and air travel.
The strongest winds are due to hit the South West this morning and coastal areas could be affected by spray and large waves.
