A ‘quintessentially English’ garden party will be held by Clevedon Pride next month.

The community organisation will give people the chance to come together and enjoy afternoon tea and Pimm’s in the surroundings of a 22-acre horse racing stable in the town.

Julie Bisacre, Clevedon Pride member, said: “What could be more quintessentially English than a Sunday afternoon garden party?

“Green lawns bathed in summer sunshine, stunning flower beds and a cool breeze rustling through the overhanging trees.

“We all love this romantic, idyllic England and so Clevedon Pride is giving you the opportunity to dress to the nines and join in the experience.

“A refreshingly fruity and slightly cheeky glass of Pimm’s will welcome you on arrival before tucking in to a delicious mid-afternoon cream tea on the lawns.”

Pimm’s, red and white wine and soft drinks will be available from a bar for the duration of the afternoon.

The garden party will be held from 2-5.30pm on August 9 at Vine Cottage in Nortons Wood Lane.
Tickets, which include the first drink and afternoon tea, cost £12.50 per person and can be bought from any Clevedon Pride member, the Present Company in Queens Square or by calling 01275 874097.
